This seminar will provide you with an overview of a number of challenges that lie ahead:
Be informed about the progress made by the ACNC - the key regulator of the charity sector.
Be aware of significant changes for the recognition of revenue and leases in other changes approved by the Australian Accounting Standard Board.
Be inspired by the achievements of Dan Flynn and the team at Thankyou.
Be ready for change – An expert panel from Saward Dawson will discuss a number of risk areas and actions that can mitigate these risks.
ACNC - An update from the regulator
Murray Baird from the ACNC will bring an update covering the most recent ACNC Australian charities report, progress with cutting red tape and an overview of the Charity compliance report including focus areas for 2017 - 2019.
AASB - New accounting standards that need your attention now
Clark Anstis, Acting Assistant Director for the Australian Accounting Standards Board will provide an overview of the changes and the need for change. There are a number of new accounting standards that cover revenue, leases and financial instruments that will have a significant impact on many not-for-profit organisations.
Thankyou – An exciting future
Daniel Flynn, co-founder and CEO of Thankyou will provide an overview of the group’s achievements to date and their exciting future. Be inspired, encouraged and challenged to learn from this team of young entrepreneurs who decided to change the future.
