In this session we will investigate successful techniques to effectively undertake the key role of chairperson.
Topics to be discuss will include:
Skills of an effective chairperson
Chairing an effective meeting
Establishing a board plan
Driving optimal decision making
Leading an effective Board.
“Attending the Governance Series Seminar on the role of a Chairperson was a great investment in me personally as well as our organisation. I have been chairing our Board meeting, knowing there were things I didn't know. But you don't know what you don't know. Attending Saward Dawson’s seminar showed me what I had been missing and has given me the understanding, skills, network and connections to become an excellent chairperson.”
Daniel Flynn
