Community - 25 years on

Shortly after Bruce Saward asked Cliff Dawson to join a small Chartered Accountancy practice in 1984, the firm moved into premises in Prospect Street Box Hill. Twenty-five years later, we are celebrating this significant milestone and getting involved in a very special project.

Saward Dawson now has four principals and a staff approaching 60. We are committed to making a difference in the local and broader communities and actively support not-for-profit organisations. This is the underlying ethos that has driven the firm’s success.

A life changing project launch

To commemorate 25 years in the City of Whitehorse, we are launching a project that will significantly change communities in one of Asia’s most poverty stricken countries, Cambodia. This country needs to recover and rebuild after years of war and turmoil. Saward Dawson, in partnership with World Vision and Entrust, has committed to supporting a project that is already enabling people to lift themselves, their families and communities out of extreme poverty.

This World Vision Economic Development project stimulates and develops local economies by working with communities to identify effective methods to develop existing businesses and start up new ones. World Vision's approach empowers communities by helping them to address the issues that keep them poor and give them skills required to start and run successful businesses.

This project is supported by the Australian Government through AusAID who will provide $3 for every $1 raised by the Saward Dawson community. Entrust and Saward Dawson have committed to ensuring that 100% of monies raised will go directly to the project. (Read more about the project)
