Marie has teenage sons and along with her husband, enjoys supporting them
in their various sporting activities and generally being the “taxi”! Marie’s
family owns a bush block in the Victorian high country and they take every
opportunity to get away from the city and spend time in the bush. She
particularly enjoys these opportunities to spend time with family and
friends, walk, and catch up on her reading. Marie is also a dog lover and
watching the dog run off-lead at the park is a particular pleasure.
Favourite holiday destination: Victorian high country
Marie’s favourite holiday destination is the Victorian high country north of
Licola in Gippsland. This has been her family’s regular holiday destination
for many years now. She particularly loves sitting around the fire and
looking at the stars, walking the now familiar tracks and listening to the
wild life. It has been a particularly interesting time over the last few
years watching the bush regenerate after the bush fires.
